SolarWave has been awarded a significant order for solar powered water purification systems which will be installed at several UNHCR offices in Chad.
Johan Wennerberg, CEO SolarWave, stated: “I am extremely proud of this order. It demonstrates the competitiveness of our technology and our knowledge of the needs and demands in sub-Saharan Africa”.
SolarWave’s unique line of solar powered water purification systems is a cost-effective way to combat polluted water in basically any location where sunshine is abundant. The water purification systems are especially suitable for areas that lack infrastructure. Built for long lifetime in harsh environments, the high quality solar powered water purification systems are self-contained and uniquely suitable for both itinerant and stationary use.
“We have good previous experience with SolarWave water treatment systems from two installations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and have found that the technology is suitable also for our needs in Chad”, commented Harry Leefe, Global Staff Accommodation Manager at UNHCR Geneva.
