SolarWave at Gävle’s Environment Gala.

SolarWave participated by exhibiting products at the Municipality of Gävle’s Environment Gala on the 24th of March. This year’s gala offered climate-friendly flavors, inspiration, awards and exciting exhibitions. Gavle is now Sweden’s second-best environmentally friendly municipality.

Swedish Postcode Foundation visits SolarWave

The Postcode Foundation aims to promote positive social development and seeks long-term solutions to local and global challenges. The Foundation works universally to support projects that promote; human rights, nature and environment, arts and culture, and sports. This variation creates a dynamic collection of multi-level actions that result in positive changes and ultimately a better world.

Representatives from the Postcode foundation visited Serina Nursery & Primary School, one of SolarWave’s Good Water project sites in Uganda. The purpose of this visit was to see and understand the project and the difference it makes in the lives of the students and teachers.

Grace Impact renews sponsorship of Good Water project in Tanzania

In 2015, Grace Impact sponsored a Good Water project at an SOS Children’s Village in Dar es Salaam. The Good Water project serves an SOS village accommodates 124 children in 13 family houses. It also contains a school and a kindergarten. Total no of staff is 25.

The project which ends in November 2017 has been renewed for another year. The SOS Children’s village greatly appreciates the continued support received from Grace Impact.

SolarWave participates in the inauguration of Gavlehov sports arena.

The city of Gävle inaugurated its new indoor sports arena for athletics on the 17th of September. SolarWave was part of the sustainability and innovation exhibition at the arena.

SolarWave meets with WFP and UNHRD

SolarWave joined the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs official visit to the Italy-based UN agencies in May 2017. In occasion of the official visit, SolarWave participated in the business delegation organized by Business Sweden to get strategic support in the long-term business development to the UN agencies in Italy.

A study tour of the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) warehouse and innovation lab was organized. Procurement managers from the World Food Programme (WFP) and UNHRD was present for business meetings and discussions.

SolarWave participates at the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference.

SolarWave attended as well as exhibited at the 2017 Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference (DIHAD)

DIHAD is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai, supported by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Est., the United Nations, the UAE Red Crescent Authority, International Humanitarian City, Dubai Cares and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The DIHAD 2017 Conference Programme reviewed critical issues related to children and conflict : the consequences, traumas and lasting scars derived from living in – and fleeing from – a war zone.

SolarWave supplies components for solar power systems to UNDP.

SolarWave has supplied components for solar power systems to the United Nations Development Programme in Burundi.

Over the past 20 years, UNDP has supported over 120 developing and middle income countries with comprehensive programs focusing on energy access, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

SolarWave participates in UN Procurement Seminars.

SolarWave was part of the Swedish business delegation to UN offices in Copenhagen, Geneva and Vienna. These seminars took place in June and October and provided a unique opportunity to establish and  improve business relations with the multilateral organizations of the UN.

SolarWave successfully completes the installation of 7 solar power systems in Iraq.

SolarWave was awarded a contract by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to supply and install on-grid solar power systems for the Ministry of Science and Technology in Iraq.

The project included six 5 kW solar power systems with Panasonic HIT solar panels for the Al Shafey Group in Najaf and one 5 kW CIGS thin-film solar cell power system for the Al Mansour State Company in Baghdad.
